DESTINATION UNKNOWN is een nomadische non-profit organisatie die jonge kunstenaars een werkperiode biedt in panden die tijdelijk leeg staan. Kunstenaars worden uitgedaagd te reageren op de leemte van de leegstand door site-specifiek werk te ontwikkelen. DU2022 zal gaan plaatsvinden in de Heilig Hartkerk in Venlo. In de werkperiode van drie maanden worden kunstprofessionals uitgenodigd om workshops te geven en in gesprek te gaan met de deelnemende kunstenaars. Elke kunstenaar ontvangt een fee van €1.452,- voor het creëren van nieuw werk dat tentoongesteld wordt tijdens het tentoonstellingsweekend waarmee de werkperiode afgesloten wordt.
Kunstenaars die tussen de 1 en 5 jaar geleden zijn afgestudeerd kunnen zich aanmelden via het invulformulier hier beneden. Wij vragen een portfolio, artist statement, CV en motivatie of projectvoorstel mee te sturen.

DU2022 OPEN CALL
DESTINATION UNKNOWN is a nomadic non-profit organisation that offers a working period for young artists in locations which are temporarily vacant. Artists are invited to react on the environment of the location with creative site-specific ideas and interventions. DU2022 will take place in Heilig Hartkerk in Venlo. During the working period of three months art professionals will be invited for workshops and conversations with the participating artists. Every artist will receive a fee of €1.452,- for creating new work that will be exhibited during the exhibition weekend at the end of the working period.
Artists who graduated between 1 and 5 years can apply through the form below. We ask for a porfolio, artist statement, CV and motivation or project proposal.
